I would love some more recs that include conniving manipulative women trying to ruin the relationship between the main characters but without any actual cheating. They both also had marriages that eventually grew into love matches)Ī conniving other woman trying to ruin the relationship between the Hero & heroine so she could have the Hero. Some of the things this book included that I need more of…Ī marriage that did not start out as a love match but grew into one.Ī heroine who proved herself throughout the book and won over the people who didn’t think much of her upon first impression (Kiss by An Angel by SEP had this and so did substitute wife for a prizefighter by Alice Coldbreath. I loved how the marble Max carried in his pocket originally was a reminder of what could have been and caused feelings of resentment but by the end of the book it was a symbol of what he considered a blessing from God. She deserved to have a home and a family who cared about her. She was a good person who’d had a hard life. It gave me all the feels and I really liked both the main and the supporting characters. A total of 140,003 Texas public school graduates took the SAT, ACT, or both in 2005. This book grabbed my attention on the 1st page and kept it til the last. This annual report examines SAT and ACT participation and performance in Texas for the graduating class of 2005. This is my first gush post and I’m having a hard time wording it but oh well here it goes… So I have only recently tried historical romances and I’m so glad I did or I would’ve missed out on this book.
